What's up next at KidSpace...

Join us as we kick off our new series: Altitude, Jr. for 3-5 year-olds Sunday, September 28.
Load up your pack, grab a good climbing rope, and tighten up your harness! It's time for kids ages 3-5 to join Switch and Bivvy as they go on their first ever mountain climbing trip.  Helping them out on their journey is Miss Skye and her trusty job, Fluke.  They run the base camp and are always happy to help out climbers in need.  So join us as we head to the top and learn from the Bible that mountains have always been important places where we can learn important lessons on how God wants us to live!

MSC Women's Advice and Discussion

MSC Ladies!! Recently a few women at Morning Star were talking about some mom issues and it came up how nice it would be to have a Facebook group for the women of MSC to go to for advice from fellow moms!

So one has been created! It is a "closed" group meaning that posts are not able to be seen by non-group members - but the group name and its members are public information. (In other words - Aunt B can't view your post about how Little Timmy keeps pooping on your dog while she's sleeping, and you need advice on how to correct this! However, Aunt B can see that you’re a member of the group for MSC.)

The main drive of this group is to be available to each other for advice, prayer requests, encouragement, making new friends --- and just coming together as a body of God's daughters!

Please search for the group on Facebook and help be a part of the support and love that every mom, grandma, sister, daughter, wife and friend needs!!

Group name: MSC Women's Advice and Discussion

Dodgeball "in the know"

Here are a few things you may like to know about this Sunday's Dodgeball Tournament!

#1) Please have children arrive a few minutes before their scheduled time slot (groupings are listed below), so we can begin play as soon as possible and keep the tournament moving smoothly and timely -- parents are welcome to stay of course!

3:00-3:30 pm - 3-5 year-olds (no team play)
3:30-4:30 pm - K-3rd grade tournament
4:30-5:30 pm - 4th-6th grade tournament
5:30-6:00 pm - parents & adults vs. kids

#2) the "entry fee" is one snack to share (per family), so there will be plenty of "fuel" for our doge ball players :)

#3) Your kids are welcome to invite friends!  If possible, please register by Sunday morning, but walk-ups are welcome.

If you have questions, email Rachel

Kingdom Adventure Camp 2014

Attention all parents of 2nd-5th graders!
It may be cold outside... but it isn't too early to start planning for Summer Camp 2014!

Mark your calendar: July 7-9

This summer, Kingdom Adventure Camp will be "taking a different trail", so to speak! For the past 2 summers we have had a blast at Living Water Ranch doing our own thing, but THIS summer, we are revving up for something new!

We are heading to Youthfront Camp West! Youthfront is for all kids going into 3rd, 4th, or 5th grades (6th graders are also welcome!).  Your kids will get to carve out time to connect with their Creator through play, worship, community, & His Word.  Youthfront is big into FUN... with activities such as paintball, the blob, theme nights, and much much more!

Why this change you ask?  (or perhaps your kids ask...)
  • have a waterslide AND a Blob
  • come highly recommended
  • have a large variety of activities and resources for fun and connecting with God
  • counselors will be familiar faces (we can send 2-3 of our own volunteers)
  • the location is close! (near Edgerton, less than 45 minutes away)
  • kids can make new friends with other campers

Overall, we are really excited about this new opportunity, and hope your kids get excited too!  If you need some help convincing them, show them this video, which may help :)

A few things you should note:
1) Camp costs will be higher than last year ($210 per child), but we believe the cost will be worth it!  We will have fundraisers and partial scholarships available. Don't let the cost be the obstacle that keeps them away.

2) We have limited slots!  We have reserved 20 slots at the camp (10 girl/10 boy), but when space runs out, registration will close!  We recommend registering by March if possible.  A $90 deposit is due with registration.  Remaining payment is due in June.  Note: Register before March 3 and receive $15 in free Camp Bucks for your child to spend at camp!

3) When you register your child, be sure to select:
OUR SESSION: Session 6A (July 7-9)
and
OUR CHURCH: from the group drop-down menu, so your child will be going to the same camp and placed in the same cabin with us :)
For registration questions contact Rachel, or Tammy, (camp administrator).
Still have questions?  Check out the Youthfront West website and the FAQ section.
And don't forget to watch the highlight video!  It's gonna be fun!
